Slide the shoulder rest on to the end button between the violin and the tailgut.

Turn the m-shape lock down by fitting the slit on to the left screw.

Press to ensure the m-shape lock slide down until the two small hooks (one on the m-shape lock and the other on the u-shape lock) are placed behind the endpin. Secure both screws with the metal key provided.

Fitting Suggestion 1
Some endpins are longer than others. Two extra adhesive foam pads of different thickness are provided. If desired, these are to be added to the underside of the U-shape clamp to fill the possible gap between clamp and the instrument.

The shoulder pad is made of malleable material. Please bend the upper and lower wings of the pad so that it conforms to your own shoulder contour and gives maximal comfort.

Bending the pad at the joint between the clamp and the pad will change the angle of the scroll of the instrument upward or downwards.

(Optional) In case the hooks do not fit, slightly bend the hooks with a pair of pliers so as to allow optimal fitting of the hooks to the undersides of the endpins.
